Oxidative byproducts of proteins, lipids and DNA in patients with epilepsy. (a) Protein reactive carbonyl derivatives (RCD) in control group and in patients with first seizure; (b) protein thiol groups (P-SH/P) in control group and in patients with first seizure; (c) urinary 8-epi-prostaglandin F (8-epi-PGF) in controls and in patients with first seizure and (d) urinary 8-hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) in controls and in patients with first seizure.
